Founded in 2020 during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chirantani Boutique was born from a vision to preserve Bengal's rich artistic heritage while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for skilled women artisans.
What started as a small initiative by Mrs. Jhuma Ghosh with a handful of village women has grown into a trusted handcrafted fashion brand known for its quality, authenticity, and unique designs. During a time when many families lost their primary sources of income, Chirantani Boutique provided training, employment, and hope to talented rural women — enabling them to support their families with dignity and confidence.

Mrs. Jhuma Ghosh is the visionary founder of Chirantani Boutique, a brand born from passion, creativity, and social responsibility. With extensive expertise in embroidery, handcrafted textile art, and traditional Indian craftsmanship, she has dedicated years to mastering the art of design and needlework — recognized through a certification from the Government of India for excellence in embroidery and handicraft artistry.
In 2020, during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs. Ghosh established Chirantani Boutique with a mission that extended beyond business. At a time when many families in rural communities lost their primary sources of income, she brought together a small group of village women and personally trained them in embroidery and handcrafted textile production — giving them financial independence and renewed confidence during one of the most difficult periods in recent history.
Under her leadership, Chirantani has grown into a trusted name for exclusive handcrafted sarees, kurtis, and men's ethnic collections, blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary fashion. For Mrs. Ghosh, success is measured not by sales, but by the quality, originality, and craftsmanship of every piece that carries the Chirantani name.

Behind every successful venture stands a strong pillar of support, and for Chirantani Boutique, that pillar is Mr. Saswata Ghosh. As the business began gaining recognition and attracting a growing customer base, the demands of managing operations, customer relationships, exhibitions, logistics, and expansion increased significantly.
Recognizing the tremendous potential of the brand and the vision of its founder, Mr. Ghosh made a life-changing decision in 2022 — he left a well-established corporate career to join Chirantani Boutique full-time. By taking charge of business operations, planning, customer engagement, event coordination, and strategic development, he enabled Mrs. Ghosh to focus more deeply on design innovation and product excellence.
His dedication and entrepreneurial mindset provided the confidence and stability needed to transform Chirantani from a promising local initiative into a growing brand with customers across India — blending structured business management with a genuine passion for supporting local artisans.
Together, Mr. Saswata Ghosh and Mrs. Jhuma Ghosh have built more than a boutique — they have created a platform that empowers skilled women artisans, preserves traditional craftsmanship, and delivers authentic handcrafted fashion to customers throughout the country.
